NewStone is my first design work with a WordPress theme, I make this theme is for our gaming clan website (see the second screenshot below), and also release it publicly for free. It is an open source theme for WordPress 3 or higher.

Introduction

NewStone is a simple and clean two-columns, fixed-width theme. If you like, it can become three-columns by using particular widgets. NewStone is designed to compatible with WordPress 3 standard features including Custom Menu, Header Image, Custom Background and Featured Images.

Before you download this theme, allow me to introduce how NewStone works for you and what the main features of NewStone are.

Main Features

(1) Easy to Customize Your Blog Layout

You can design a great 960×130 image to replace with the default header image, or upload a big size image for the background. Just 2 steps, your WordPress blog layout will be unique and more good-looking than before.

(2) Works Fine with General Web Browsers.

I have used the general web browsers to test the theme, including IE 6, IE 7, IE 8, IE 9, Chrome 12, Firefox 3, Firefox 4, Firefox 5, Safari 5. All works fine. Note: If you found any issue in NewStone theme with specific browser, please let me know, I will fix the issues and update the theme files.

(3) Professional Custom Menu

A clean, good-looking menu makes your website look professional.

NewStone supports 4 widgets for normal use, 4 widgets for placing Ads, 1 widget for Javascript (Google Analytics or similar services).
